ALAN WEBB will crush Rupp, Ritz and Tadesse at the 1/2 Marathon. I think WEBB could run 57:30 for the Half easily!!

OK. It's nearly official. AlSal said Galen and Mo are running the NYC Half again this time around.
Ryan Hall's AR (59:43) is on its last days!
How fast will he go?
59-low?!
in 5 minutes
Is the NYC half as flat as Houston?
Has anyone running 26:48 not been able to run 59:43?

Where did you hear this? If Galen broke the AR at NYC, would it count, or are the start/finish too separated?

Rupp can NOT crush Tadesse in a 10k. Are you trolling?
4-5 years ago: Tadesse was an animal while Galen was just another NCAA guy
Right now: Zersenay is past his prime and Rupp is turning into a monster on the track.
I agree, when he enters and he decides to take it out hard, that record is gone. I'll bet he could come close to sub 59 right now.
Ryan Hall does not have Galen's speed. I would be pretty confident in betting that Galen has at least as much strength/endurance as Hall, if not more. And I would say that Galens 26:48 10k is worth probably a 2:05.

Is Rupp fast enough to break that record? Hall wasn't a slouch when he set that record. I wouldn't blindly assume that Rupp is better than Hall either. Galen's 12:5x 5k vs Hall's 2:06 marathon? About the same, no?
Rupp won't take it down because Rupp won't be allowed to...
59:43 is better than most of you think. It's better than 27:00 for 10k. Rupp can break it, but it's not so easy that I'm sure he will. In any single race, I would bet against it.
destroy Ryan Hall's 1/2 AR of 59:43:
Diego Estrada, not Galen Rupp.
