Rupp, Centrowitz, Symonds, Salazar.......well done.

Agreed. And they are not done yet. They still have Eaton in the Decathlon and Keshia Baker in the 4 X 400 relay.
If you include Symmonds in that then include Farah as well
symmonds didnt go to oregon.
symmonds was home schooled
Symmonds went to college in Salem, Oregon. Symmonds is a resident of, and trains in Eugene, Oregon.
There were a lot of other Oregon people competing who didn't get medals. Rachel Yurkovich, Cy Hostetler, Andy Wheating, Jesse Williams, and that young 100 meter sprinter for starters. For a small state, Oregon represented very, very well indeed.
WRONG. "Nicholas "Nick" Symmonds (born December 30, 1983) is an American middle-distance track athlete from Boise, Idaho"
WRONG. "Centrowitz is the son of two-time Olympian Matt Centrowitz. He grew up in Arnold, Maryland, which is about 24 miles from Baltimore and about 35 miles from Washington, D.C"
the track club that trains in the pacific northwest did pretty well
idaho and maryland had some really great runners representing them!
centro jr is from maryland
williams is from north carolina
wheating is from vermont
symmonds is from idaho
farah is from kenya/england
baker is from frisco
buckman is from australia
I give New York city props for developing so many investment bankers too.
But Rupp is from Oregon, and he was excited to get the silver:

And that's the only thing Oregon is really good at. Making excuses.
USC by themselves has 19 medals. NINETEEN. And that's not an exception: In Beijing, they won 21 medals including 10 golds. Oregon is a total joke compared to SoCal (or Florida). Always have been, always will be.
With one exception.
Oregon holds the world record for bullshit.
Symmonds dominated baby nationals for years before he moved to Oregon

Alberto is from Mexico so big deal if people in Oregon are wetbacks.
Why are you so stupid? Alberto isn't from Mexico.

Technically he dominated baby nationals in Oregon since Willamette University is in Oregon.

And once again Coach D comes along and ruins the fun for everyone.
No one was comparing Oregon to USC. The OP was just stating how there were a fair amount of good performances from Oregon based athletes at the Olympics.
We all know that USC/UCLA have the most Olympic medals...because you've told us countless times.
I congratulate all the southern California athletes as well as every other U.S. athlete at the Olympics...cause I'm not a prick like you.
Symmonds is from Boise. Alberto is from Tijuana. Rudy is from Indiana. Matt Sr is from Poland. Matt Jr is from DC. Solinsky is from Wiconsin. Tegencamp and Schumacher are from Nazi Germany. Eveyone is a wetback.
It gets really old and annoying, doesn't it?
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
