This would be a little more accurate of a statement.
Who has the apparrel sponsorship for post race interviews? Unless you're one of their athletes, you wouldn't be doing your sponsors any favors.

Good luck with your sponsorship portfolio, moron!
BroJos rock.
No question. Man, you guys are gettin' big time!
rojo, guilt by association is too low a bar to make public doping suspicions that are definitely underwritten by that very standard, plus late career 10.64s. you are right to suspect her and that association w/a banned doping enabler but there is nothing like any kind of proof here that she's doping because she spends time with him. But it is not invalid to ask why she spends time with a banned doping manager.
People like the Brojo's should be asking these questions. It's only sad that more aren't willing to take a more firm stance.
It doesn't matter if she is indeed guilty or not. All the signs point in the direction that shows she is, but none the less, any responsible and honest athlete has a responsibility to explain why they are supporting the cheating side of our sport by associating with doe fiends like Mark Block. The IOC is absolutely correct in looking to include direct associations as parallel to doping yourself. If you are going to support the cheats, and continue working with them, then you deserve to be UN-invited to all diamond league, and pro sanctioned meets. And you deserve to be held with suspicion. Sorry, but if an athlete is being honest, why would they ever in a million years jeopardize the real hard work and integrity they have held up if they even thought their coach, or agent was connected to drug cheating, among other things.
MAKES NO SENSE IF YOU ARE BEING HONEST!
Weldon Johnson's Q&A at the 2012 London Olympics with Richardson and Jeter about their association with the banned Mark Block is now up on the web:

+1. Go brojos.
Maybe try and get stuttering john melendez or one of the guys from the howard stern show to go to these press conferences and ask the questions
Leave my good friend and me alone. She is as clean as anyone in that 200m final.Instead of praising her accivements, you attack her on her assocation with me.How would you "runners" feel if you go interrogated after living your dream?
So Jason Richardson pisses "praise in excellence..."
What does that even mean?
And why can't he just answer the question?
Pretty sure it was "pissin' excellence" not "praise in excellence". It's from the movie Ricky Bobby.
Seriously. Props to to the brojos for asking the tough quesiotns.

So you're saying they're all doped up?
No, they are all clean... I would know.

Sports Illustrated's respected journalist, Tim Leydon, appreciates the Brothers Johnson. See the Twitter thread.
If Mark Block truly cared about these athletes, he'd stay well away. He is supposed to be a sports agent. Does he realize that his presence around these athletes is ruining their reputations and marketability? Does he understand sports media, which includes websites like this?
I'm guessing he can't be that ignorant, so he must have some major dirt on these athletes for them to tolerate his presence. It will come out in the end!

The AP picked it up and I saw on the web version of my local paper
The Guardian noted the interview as well:
http://www.guardian.co.uk/sport/2012/aug/08/london-2012-allyson-felix-200m
Opening paragraph: A wonderful night for the USA's athletics team turned sour when Carmelita Jeter was questioned about her links with the controversial former coach, Mark Block. After finishing third in the 200m, Jeter became the first USA woman to win Olympic medals in both sprints at the same Games since Florence Griffith-Joyner in 1988. Block, the husband of the former world 200m champion Zhanna Pintusevich-Block, was banned from athletics for 10 years in 2011 because of his connections to the Balco doping scandal.
Newspapers have had their medium, reach, and power decimated by the arrival of online media. Newspaper reporters are still trying to hold on what little influence they have. They are unaccustomed to online reports who actually own the medium and have absolute power to do, ask, and say whatever they like.
Keep up the good work Letsrun.com
