Please look at the CG thread, should be page 13, and you can also understand that I'm not insisting on my way. In fact, though I have tried to persuade in some instances (as per above), how do you get that I'm not willing to do things another way?
In fact, when I contacted Weldon last, I asked if he thought it better for LRC to head this up rather than me. He can confirm that if someone can contact him.
I'm sorry, but the "least common denominator" comment wasn't meant to be directed solely at you (and now it appears it doesn't apply to you). And, it wasn't said in hopes of letting Andrew do the job. It was a general comment about people's way of thinking.
Now, as I said at the end of my previous reply, I had already explained in the other thread many things that should clarify many points.
You know, I almost hit "Post Message" and left off here, but . . .
What is wrong with me, or anyone, having "too much invested" in something? Yeah, sometimes it clouds our judgment. But does it always? Necessarily? Aren't some things better left to the people who have a real investment in a thing? Who have a real attachment? Funny, isn't it? The answer is, almost always, yes.
Anyway, we can, I suppose, either make this a true LRC effort and I become just another guy with a voice, or leave me to do this "single-handedly" and LRC do something else, or some hybrid of that (i.e., find a cheaper way to see the basic project through).
