She NEVER wore headphones while she ran. Ever. The excuse by the driver is complete bull and no punishment can ever fix his stupid decision.

^ but he really should be locked up for life or worse if I wasn't clear about it in that last post

Flagpole, start a new thread if you want to talk about this further. I understand what you're trying to talk about, and I even agree with you (to an extent), but this was not the right thread to hijack. Hindsight isn't doing anything to help Gabby, and for all you know, she was running on trails for 10 miles and had a 10 meter section on a road where she became very unlucky.
1) Wasn't a hijack. Everything was either in response to questions from others or on topic...not running in the street is on topic.
2) Comments about not doing something that led to another's death are OBVIOUSLY not made to help the deceased...they are to help the living who may also do that same risky activity.
I'm sorry for the loss that those who knew her have. The guy that hit her is a dirtbag and should not see the light of day again as far as I'm concerned, but, this is the time to talk about the risky behavior of running on roads. It is simply NOT safe.
Your request has been denied (actually, I was done though until you decided to tell me I hijacked the thread).
