Eastern will win again. It won't be close.
Northern Illinois is going to own the women's side, they had an amazing recruiting class this year.
Miami's men bring in a 9:01/4:12 guy. Maybe just what they need to bounce back from last years piss poor performance at MAC's
1 guy cant really improve the entire teams performance
Sure as hell will help though. 9:01 is quick.
Hahahaha, cute northern
Brad Hough will make waves come the MAC championship
They will be better but they are a long, long way away from winning. Toledo's "B" team would beat them easily.

Eastern will be tough to beat. Miami has good men's recruits but big hole to dig out of. Central men may be the only team capable of beating Eastern.
Toledo women are too talented and deep for anyone to beat them. Their recruiting class is a Big 10 level class with Footlocker finalist and a couple other girls that are all better than any other MAC recruit. Ohio women are really good though and will be hard to beat for second.
I think BG is now walk-on only for their men. What a fall from grace from back in my day.

Northern will probably be in the top half for the first time with their incoming class. Could be one of the best one year turnarounds out there. Toledo will win if they stay healthy but the "B" team thing is a major exaggeration. They're not that deep. Miami, EMU, CMU, WMU and Ohio will all have solid squads. Akron, Kent, BGSU, Ball State and Buffalo look rough.
The MAC is basically a D2 conference in CC/Track

I fail to understand what this even means. People who make comments like this are insecure tool bags who either come from a DII school or a low level DI. Have you ever even looked at MAC results?

Why can't MAC kids just admit they took the bigger scholarship to basically run a little better HS track. The Ohio state champion high school kids could score at the MAC while in HS. I know every once in a while, you have an athlete who is great, but the 3rd best in evey distance event wouldn't be top 25 in the Big 10 or PAC 10: FACT.
Sorry Sparky...I ran for a MAC school
Division 1, using a fluke year results from a decade ago only serves to confirm my statement.
LOL you're joking right? Toledo lost their top 2 but did you bother to look what was lying in their wake? Toledo will outright win, the race is for 2nd place.
Mens Side-
It will be a battle for the individual title between Terefe and Tec, money is on Terefe after having a very solid outdoor season. EMU will win team wise, but CMU has steadily been rising to the occasion, it will be close.
The dude crumbled under pressure at Indoor and Outdoor. He'll be in the top 5, but not in contention to win.
The men's side of things are nothing like they were 10 years ago. It is sad but the loss of great coaches and the loss of programs is what killed the conference on the men's side. I think that Eastern and Central should have a great battle. Eastern returns Terefe (14:01, 30:01), Hanke (3:48, 14:25), Dixon (14:28) and Kalinowski (3:45) and with other guys capable of being the 5th, they are tough to beat. CMU may have lost their distance coach so that is going to be cause for concern. But they return Tec (13:55), Stacks (14:22), Sanchez (3:52) and add in some good talent.
On the women's side you cannot argue with Toledo's run of success. They are very deep so I am not sure what the Northern fans are talking about. They return Vogelson (9:50, 16:50, 34:15), Belair (4:28, 9:35, 17:00), Chonacki (10:00, 10:37 SC), Timmons (4:58i) and add redshirts Wright (4:26, 9:46, 16:56) and Ramsay (9:53) and a slew of other 17:30 women. They add FL Finalist Burdette and an international 9:50 girl and a northern michigan girl who went 2:13 and 4:56.
I think that we could potentially see a Top-8 regional finish for the men in Eastern and Central but that is about it. Toledo should be a top-3 finisher again and a Top-25 team. The race for 2nd is really the more interesting one with Ohio being a clear favorite with the return of Accurso and Pfifer.
Fire up Chips!
I hear that the dbag Miami men's coach is about to get the boot before the season starts. Anyone know if the rumors are true? This could only help the team bounce back after last years.. no, the last 17 years, of shi**y results.
