Just wondering, it seems like 4/5 male runners shave there legs. Does everyone on here? If so, why? What makes runners shave there legs as opposed to just regular people?

I have a disease that results in the lack of all body hair. Thus I do not necessarily shave my legs, but they are silky smooth. It really shows off my beastly calves. Many women I have met enjoy it, and none are really turned off by it. So heres to shaving your legs.

What makes idiots like you not know that it's "their legs", not "there legs"?
its not "they're" legs?
I don't know where YOU live, but I rarely see male runners with shaved legs around here in California. I think it's pretty weird when guys shave their legs.
I shaved them a few times after I got a tattoo on my leg, but don't bother anymore. Besides my g-friend says she wants me to look like a Man & not a 12 yr old.
4/5 of the guys you know shave their legs? Dude, do you live in South Miami Beach? Unless you're on a cobblestone road in Belgium right now, there's no reason to have that many smooth legged guys around you unless you're celebrating someone's birthday at Le Cage. You need to take a good look at the guys you're hanging out with, dude. Just turn around. They're probably standing right behind you.
Nope
BaldIsDamnSexy,
Do you have alopecia? My sister has it - same thing, no body hair at all. It's a disorder, not a disease but hey. She's been going around bald, no wig, since kindergarten and she's the coolest!

Why does anyone care about spelling on an internet board? Most people are firing off their messages as fast as they can, and aren't proofing. Except for the anal hunt and peck keyboard wimps who never learned to type.
nope, no shaving legs here!
haha, this has got to bed the worst thread ever, so far. But seriously, a lot of guys do shave their legs. I never have, but I think it just has to do with the fact that your legs get super lean and fast looking, and it just kind of gets a runner in touch with his legs a little more. Sounds corny but it does make a runner look pretty fast, Webb for example - those things are leathal looking.
I don't shave my legs and probably never will. Why stop with your legs, why don't you shave all the hair off your body and run around hairless so you can look super "fast"
Well, its kinda both. They suspect it is a disease (auto-immune) but nobody really knows.
So yes, I have universalis too. Its kinda cool, the whole no body hair thing. And I've often thought about buying many wigs and wearing different ones on different occaisions...if only they weren't so expensive.

I had a girlfriend between high school and college who had an allergic reaction to some medication that resulted in permanent hair loss - all over. She had wigs.
my grandma is 94 and is losing her hair. she wears wigs. grey wigs.
20+years of running, hundreds of races and seen thousands of runners nationwide, truth is few men shave their legs.
Wigs can be sexy...
I shave on a regular basis..
the main reason is it makes the women i sleep with feel like they are with another women... all women have that fantasy anyway... :)
so to NCAA's. a lot of the guys do it, we are comfortable with our sexuality i suppose.
