After two years of training under her previous coach Dan Waters (now Track coach at Alabama), she had PR of 16:25 for 5k and no postseason accolades of any kind. After 9 months with Wendel McRaven, she has gone 31:59 for 10k, running two 5ks 30 seconds faster than her previous best.
IMO, Wendel McRaven has the Texas A&M distance program on the upswing. The men had their highest team finish ever at D1 XC nationals (19th) in his first season with the team. Hopefully recruits realize his ability to develop runners. I could see Texas A&M becoming an even more well rounded program with distance strength in the next few years.
