however, the reason came recently from the horse's mouth - the chairman of kenyan athletics
he bemoaned the fact that they can't keep the top 5k/10k talents on the track & as soon as they can, they move to the road
i think likes like geoff mutai/mosop/makau/etc coud run 12'45/26'30 just off their M training currently
if this calibre of guy moved exclusively to 5k/10k, then i'd certainly believe the wrs woud be under threat
