Right you are. My cousin's name is Allan, so naturally I am inclined to spell Webb's name the same.
Alan Webb reminds me a lot of my cousin who ran 35 minute 10ks as a junior high schooler before he bulked up playing football. Both Alan and Allan go after it and hammer away. Both are driven and not afraid to lay it on the line.
It seems to me that one things separating good athletes from great athletes is drive. Take away the will to win, to open up a can of whoop-a**, and you have an undistinguished person exercising instead of competing. For that very reason, I am generally not in favor of rabbits. I love watching the competition. I am, however, suprised at times when I notice how exciting a race can be when a runner like Mr. Webb goes without hesitation to the front ahead of his main rivals and makes everyone gasp in amazement at his pure ferocity. I imagine that Pre was like that to many people; a specatacle of drive, ferocity, determination, and willingness to cross the abyss: a place where you don't know if you will die or not, but you go onward anyway.
