^This. I had a late start on training, only starting about a month ago. I've had no time to gain a strong base, which is what I naturally lack.. I ran 2:04 indoors this year in my only indoor race,and since then have run 2:02 and 2:01 outdoors. I've split 51.8 in a 4x400, which leads me to believe my endurance is seriously lacking since my 800 PB is only 2:01. What are some ways I can gain some strength in the last 6 weeks of my season? My coach has told me that running in the morning now will just be a waste of effort and that it'll just take away from more important afternoon track work as opposed to building strength.
