he may be slow as hell, but he makes a great point: so many "fast" runners are so quick to criticize what they have never tried. Ironic when folks most assuredly faster than the critics are out there giving seeing what ultras are all about.
I am waiting on the critic who is a) fast at sub-marathon, say 29 - 30 min/ 10 km guy and b) has tried 2 -3 50 mile or longer races. Almost all who try a few come away with respect for the the long stuff and for those who pursue them regularly.
If you actually read his post and you think he's blasting Boston Marathon participants, you are an idiot with incredibly poor reading comprehension.
