I just started running cross country and track. My coach doesn't know much outside of basketball, so I've been training myself. I want to run fast - like 4:10 for the mile. Do you think that running a 5K a day help me as a mile runner? I know it's a lot of miles per week, but I think it could help my strength.
My times for cross country last year for the 5K were 18:10, then 17:10 then 16:58 and 16:45. I only ran 4 weeks, so I was the top guy on my team. Any help on training would be great. Thank you! I was told that 5K a day would help me run faster.
