We all know about Robby Creese and Edward Cheserek this season, but some marks that are not as much attention are:
Murielle Ahoure from the Ivory Coast ran 7.09 in the 60md and Holly Bleasdale from GB pole vaulted 4.87. It is early in the indoor season and both of these performances are already better than all of last year's indoor season marks.
Aldrich Bailey from Texas (H.S.) ran 20.99 in the 200m. This is faster than anyone ran last year and is probably in the top 5 all time. There are only 1 or 2 guys in the NCAA who have run faster this year.
Strymar Livingston 1:01.68 600m. First off, he shattered the H.S. NR by over half a second; I doubt there is more than hand full of NCAA athlete you could run that fast.
Zavon Watkins from NY H.S. ran 4:14 in the mile. This probably doesn’t seem too impressive when you have Cheserek running a 4:02 mile. Watkins usually runs much faster as the season progresses because he does not run XC and is usually coming of football. To the best of my knowledge, this was only Watkins' 2nd serious mile and because he has run 48x and 1:47x relay splits, I assumed he was more of a 400/800 type.
