So today I pr'd in a preseason time trial by a minute of my 3200m time over the course of a year with a 9:41, however, I accidentally pr'd in the the 800m and 1600m in the same run with splits of 2:13/4:39/7:00/9:41. Next time when i run with even/negative splits, what could my potential time in the 3200 be?
Don't worry about that. You already know you're in uncharted territory right now. Since it's so early, the question is not 'how good am I right now?' It's 'how good can I get?'
Focus on doing the right training and later in the season you'll laugh at how much you cared about what you could run now, because you'll know that whatever it was, you've definitely surpassed it by now.
It requires a little bit of self-discipline to realize what the important questions are, and it's natural to think this matters. But really it doesn't so much. And this question shouldn't be answerable, since later you'll be competing with a different (ideally higher) fitness level.
