You definitely were not talking during the 9th and 10th miles.

Well, we were, but yea, it was more like broken up talking on the 9th and 10th
it is hard to tell without more details. Did you have a heart rate monitor on because that could be the best indicator. If not seasonal PB's would help

Did you seriously take splits on a recovery training run?
If you are doing a run like this your 2 mile and 3 mile times really should be much faster. You were probably exerting more effort than intended/believed. This is a common issue amongst younger runners (Im assuming your in high school based on your PB distances) Its important to be aware of your abilities and how fast you can go especially on something like a recovery run.

It was supposed to be a "HARD" run of up to 8 miles, at no faster than 6:30 pace, It really wasn't that hard, since we were on a flat gravel path along side a bike trail.

why go 10.78, if it was supposed to be "up to 8 miles".
I would expect a runner who has hit those times to be able to complete this run.
Hard to tell; that isn't really much of a predictor workout. I'd say no worse than ~18 minutes though.
So was this supposed to be like a longer tempo? Im still confused. You say it was talking pace but also that it was supposed to be "HARD"
you cant tell what someones race times are going to be from one run, despite what so many people on this site believe. i know kids who could do this run and only run 4:45 mile and 10:25 2 mile. i also know kids who do similar runs regularly in their training who run sub 15 5ks and sub 4:20 mile. if you want to know how fast you are, go run a race.

I totally agree with what your saying. There are way to many people like this kid on lets run bantering and bragging about some training run/workout that they did when all that really matters is how you perform in the race. Put up or shut up
some people like to know what times they are shooting for BEFORE running a race, lest they go out in 60 and die.

Im pretty sure you should know enough about your own fitness to decide whether going out in a 60 is a good idea. I have never heard of a 4:30 guy who suddenly thinks he can break 4. If you were really that clueless why wouldn't you just ask your coach? They would have the best answer. Not some fool that has only heard about 1 workout
A few weeks ago I did 3x1600 at 5:06, 5:02, 5:07 with 2minutes rest average
