If I was an elite runner my first choice would be New Balance.

theres a reason nike has 90% or everyone worth having...
for all the talk of how they throw their weight around too much, they are a company founded by distance runners and essentially fund our sport...thanks nike
Skechers
If I were running track and cross country, probably Nike because of their spikes.
If primarily road, then Mizuno because I like their flats.
Whoever is offering the most money/best contract.

and honestly with the exception of geb and the true best of the best, an american is worth more to these companies than the 3rd best kenyan...even if the kenyan is significantly faster
air corruption funds this sport, if they were paying to get their power to get their athletes put on teams it would be one thing, they use it to put their athletes into the trial races to make those teams...have no problem at all with that, those trials are to put together the best team, not an end unto themselves (if you really think the 1st guy left out of that 10k had a better chance to make the team than Adam goucher, which is the only consideration that should matter when putting together trials fields, you are out of your mind)
Redwing.
As a bubble elite guy its simple. Who ever pays the most. I've trained in almost every brand of shoe, doesn't really matter who you rep. Meb's got the right idea.
Asics
have always loved asics
but i would have to go with adidas, best gear by far
trainers FAR superior to nike
Nike!
