No choke in Madison any longer. The 2011 Wisconsin Badgers back up their ranking. This is not a group of time trial athletes that under perform in Championships.

Bairu was a big choker only winning 2 individual cross titles.
It takes a TEAM to win a team title. If you think winning anindividual title is "doing your part", you are wrong. Leadership is a lot more than just taking care of yourself.

You are a loser - they had most of their runners run very well in '04 - just so happens that a top 15 finisher from a few years earlier, killed them on that day - today they had 5 runners that ran well - actually '04 had 6 run well. Let's face it, Schumacher gambled (not running the young stud and it backfired because the senior bombed)

Nice!
This thread is pretty stupid and unwarranted. But was I the only one who noticed there twitter accounts weren\'t celebrating the victory? Guess if it doesn\'t involve their careers they\'re not interested.
Actually Solinsky has 3 tweets regarding the victory... and Bairu a few as well.. nice try

Wait, so you're arguing that Bairu was a big choker because he won 2 times but his team didn't?
You might just be mentally retarded.

Nope. I am stating that he was part of a system that created an atmosphere that did not allow the most talented team to perform at their best in the most important meet.
Yeah, take that Solinsky and Bairu! Your alma matter won the national championship in cross country! That must just grind your gears.
I do seem to recall Schumacher coaching a national championships team
They were both pretty pissed last week at comments made by a current team member/

That has nothing to do with whether or not they would be happy when Wisconsin won the national championship. Mick has done a great job reaching out to them and they all get along great. They support the current crop of Wisco runners big time.
You believe what you want. I will believe what I live.
You know Jerry won a team title right?
I also remember him losing a few that he should have won

Ryan Craven is not a current team member.

not that i was ever on a team that even went to nationals, but i would be thrilled to see my alma mater win.
You guys must not have read Solinsky's letter to Craven about how he thought Mick was doing an awesome job with the program and he appreciates the tradition living on. In no way is this a smack in their face. You guys are just trolling.
Tell us more.
