Well their biggest market is probably the US followed by China or something, not Italy.

And you're telling me that people who are clueless about fashion are buying thousand dollar Armani suits?
Any sports jersey or clothing that prominently displays your college, obvious exceptions excluded
You sir are a Phillistein if you have a vented dinner jacket.
Gold tone jewellery - unless it is actual gold
shoes with tassels, fringe details
Pleated pants...keep to an absolute minimum
All our advise is null if someone consults a stylist and receives contrary info. Some things just look ok on others...leave it to a qualified professional.
This is a crappy list. Most of these things are fine in the right scenario, like cargo shorts when youre fishing or some other activity that requires you to have a lot of gear on your person. Flip flops? Nothing wrong with them when the weather's hot. Speedos? What if you're a competitive swimmer? Bulky jackets? What if you live somewhere with very cold winters? White socks that show? Mid-calf white socks are standard attire for tennis and lacrosse players. Only item that I really agreed with was fedoras.
of course...who the heck else do you think buys that crap? it's bought by people who think that clothes make the man rather than the other way aroundthere's a sucker born every minute!

Arm Sleeves
There is a lot wrong with this largely materialistic response, and for that I feel sorry for you. Regardless, I still feel the need to call you out on one thing: It does not follow from caring about the clothes one wears that they be well-dressed. As you referenced, a lot of gay people are poorly dressed (likely because they make it a point to dress like a girl). They are "poorly dressed" not because they don't care about what clothes they wear, but because they care a lot about what they are wearing and are maybe trying to make some sort of a fashon statement. Your statement in no way discredits that a sign of not being a heterosexual man is caring about the clothes you wear... So try to be rational the next time you pick an argument. And I hope people continue to treat you well because of how you are dressed. And I say this with pure honesty. I am in no way trying to offend you because as a human, I am a social animal, and I want everyone to think positively of me and adore me because fitting in to some degree is important to me.
Well, sure. Who buys those suits, finance guys? They can't all be fashion gurus.
Can somebody clarify what it takes to be a real man around here? Is your wardrobe part of it?
yes, i think we should define a real man first.
Flip Flops are the ultimate minimalist footwear. The only way I was able to heal my heel.
This was in chapter 9 of Book of Man a book by conservative christian William Bennett. It talks about the feminization of american males and he concludes this is way Al Queda reallys hates America.
I'm adding jorts to the list. Never wear jorts.
i have a job where i CAN wear flipflops and hybrid shorts to work.

Without a doubt.
Armani suits are for douchebags who know very little about fashion and style.
It is obvious that many of you are not well-dredd. Too bad.

only Americans think that pleated pants are acceptable, and the rest of the developed world laughs at you for it. That, amd your horrible tassled loafers.
If Americans wear pleated pants, then why shouldn't I, being an American, wear them? I mean, I won't argue that morals are culturally relative, but fashion certainly is. And as far as the developed world laughing at us . . . no one thinks too highly of liederhosen or tweed jackets or whatever either so they can just mind their own business.
1. A thong bathing suit
2. A sachel
3. An ascot
4. Leisure suits
5. A cod piece
Just saying...
