She seemed happy with second.
She seemed happy with second.
Know, not no.
So Alysia Montano was third woman.
Is there a bronze for her?

You'd better have a damn good definition of "100% female." Let's hear it.
Start with 2 ovaries instead of 2 testes.
It's very hard to make the case that an athlete lost a race on purpose by first going to the front, pulling away in the final 100m of the World champs final AND THEN slowing down deliberately.
Surely, if your objective is to keep the attention off you, you hang back in fourth or fifth, and come through fast at the end. Like Centrowitz did, like Hannah England did. In a fast race like this 800m final, it would be easy for Semenya to stay in the pack, and run the final 200m hard and come through to second.
But no, she goes early, hits the lead and then decides to back off? That doesn't make sense. Think about what you're implying here.
I realize that she looks casual, but I'm sure (or I hope) that you've seen enough runners to know that sometimes you can't judge based on form.
Semenya may well have some advantages, but I think it's the height of cynicism to imply that she is tanking, especially in that fashion.

I'm being slightly cynical, but my idea is that she wanted to show that she COULD have won, then shut it down.

Fortunately you are enough of a wanker to overcome that terrible desire to sympathize?
Well, she's a hermaphrodite and that gives her a huge advantage. I wonder why she's allowed to compete with the women.
It should be women against women, men against mem and hermaphrodite against hermaphrodite.

Why did you put a period after your last bullet and not the others? Not very consistent there, tidy that up, please.

Great analysis and discussion!!!
maybe. That would be different from saying that she wants to lose to avoid the focus and attention, to fly under the radar. But what's the motivation for showing you can win and then losing? It's not to avoid attention, and by losing in this fashion, you only heighten the speculation.
Then again, a few of the things coming out of the Semenya management camp don't make sense, so maybe.
Still, I can't see the upside of showing people you can win, and then shutting it down? What message does that send other than to re-affirm what everyone wants to accuse you of?

How about starting early and being more careful with your grammar now?
What do you think, "To date, no scientific studies have yet to be released,...", means? I do not think it means what you think it means.
Here's a clue - "...have yet to be released..." means something has NOT yet been released. How could you possibly know that there are no scientific studies that are still waiting to be released?
What you probably meant to say was something more along the lines of "To date, no scientific studies have been released...".
The good old LRC your welcome.
