Mel Sheppard 1908.
But if you think Centro has a chance for gold this year then I've got a bridge you might be interested in buying.

This isn't a time trial.
The pace will be slow. Centro appears to have the kind of speed that could net him hardware.

DO IT ON THE TRACK. Then talk about it.
You've proven your stupidity once again. And shown your rote Oregon hating immaturity as well.
You clearly know nothing about the Oregon team, program or sub culture.
As a former Duck I can tell you that like most elite athletic teams there are some legendary sex lives going on.
Your attempt at human is Epic Fail on many, many levels.

Having a 3:30 PR means nothing in a championship final. Alan Webb. Andrew Wheating.

The Merkn Fanboys are out in full force.
Try not to cry to hard when the truth hits you in the face during the finals.
Why is it some retards think championship races are all going to be run at pb or wr pace? Last wc the winning time was just under 3:36. Like it or not Centro has a chance to medal.
What he did in a 3:46 race has to be taken as irrelevent. Even if the final is super slow, how is he supposed to beat Kiprop (1:43.low 800 best)?

You're talking about guys that have never made a final to have their times applicable.
You're right. If they run the women's race again, he could win it.

But Mel Sheppard was an Irish-American. I mean a real American. Who was the last real American to win any big European 1500/mile. No hyphenated-Americans or transplants please!!!

For your education:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kRf6Flpa11s&feature=relatedCentro's chances of winning depends on the 800 split:
Over 2:05 => at least 50% (NCAA split 2:05, USATF 2:12)
Between 2:00 and 2:05 => 20% - 40%
1:59 and faster => 0%

Manzano. Like 2-3 weeks ago.
Listen, coming from a guy that's banged at least 25 chicks in Korea (serious), Centro will win gold.
See you on the soju later that night.

Centro will clown everyone, just like he did in HS.
I agree. Realistically maybe 7th. He does have a respectable kick even at this level so he could finish mid pack. But the sheer talent of the field will overwhelm him. But its all the more reason why his heat runs were impressive. There was good reason for him to get intimidated by who he was running against. Yet he was the one controlling the race if anyone was.

Kiplagat, Baala, and Centrowitz the ones to watch.
