I can't find it on their website. It seems they are only selling the 3.0 v2. I've read in other threads that the v2 is about 2 ounces heavier than the plain jane 3.0. Maybe I can find 3 or 4 pairs at a Nike outlet store or something.

just got off the phone with nike customer service. they have been completely replaced by the heavier v2's.
They came out with the 3.0 v2 several years ago. The 3.0 v1 are gone, I haven't seen a pair for sale anywhere in years.
you guys didn't know they came out with v3 this summer?
also, from nike.com if that's where you want to get 'em
my wife bought me a pair last christmas. they recently ripped on the outer where the mesh meets the sole (both shoes at the same time). i'm kind of disappointed. do you think a local shoe repair could fix these?
How many miles you get outta them? anything over 300-400 I'd just buy another pair, as they are not made for durability.
But i'd def try and fix them too
honestly, probably about 750. I started runnning in them in march, and they just broke sunday night. i could run in the same pair forever if they wouldn't rip.
I got confused! I called Nike and said "Are your shoes really free?" She laughed at me and hung up.
The 3.0 v2 is not 2 oz heavier than the original 3.0. If you read this stat on Nike's site or another, consider it a misprint. It is at most 0.2 ounces heavier as the midsole is the same (as 3.0) and the upper is only slightly different.
Hope this helps to clarify.
Does the stack height 21mm and 14mm make or discount this shoe as a minimalist shoe?
That sounds more like the Free Run 2 stack heights. The 3.0 v2 has a 4mm drop at about 17mm/13mm.
