LOL - Exactly.
Last night the USA channel show Royal Pains had a character who was supposed to be the female winner of the Boston Marathon. The remark was she won in 2:20:55 just missing the CR- so they did their homework on the numbers--of course the gal had too much fat in her chest bumps and way way too much junk in the trunk to be hauling with her for 26.2, not to mention her "I have perfect form and footstrike" comment was not vaguely backed up by the visual of her running.
Win some lose some- Fleshman who is rumored to be looking for a career in front of the camera would have made an equally cute but more convincing character.

OMG the USA website is unbearable. I went looking for a peek at the runner you mentioned and I could barely stay there for 30 seconds without GTFOing.
Was it Rosie Ruiz?

She only has average talent, but she runs a lot of miles per week.
Was she wearing bikini's or shorts?
More importantly, what do you think she could run in a 5k?

When she finishes the race she high-fives her daughter at the line under a banner that says 10k. Then they pan to the clock which shows 30:35.
.... which means her official time must have been 30:31. That is moving my friends.
...and what if it was a hilly course? Oh man, now that would be impressive.
Don't knock Folgers. It has ridiculous powers.
It can even save marriages.
can i get a link to this commercial of the woman running the 30:30 10k?

I think I saw the ad and noticed the time and was impressed they were accurate as I saw 5k on one of the banners.
Likewise, I'm pretty sure the banner said 5k.

Here's my guess as to what the Folgers marketing people were thinking when they made this commercial. Obviously 30:35 is an unrealistically fast time for a female to run on her own--especially in some random road race. However, the Folgers crew did their research on the sport by reading letsrun. In their research, they discovered the well known phenomenon of "letting someone else do all the work." Because the road race includes runners of both genders, they deferred to the logic of the letsrun running experts and figured that your average female jogger could simply find a 30 minute 10K type guy, let him do all the work, and finish the race without breaking a sweat.
This is more like post of the year.
And we may want to discount Solinsky's 10,000 AR since Rupp did all of he work.
I mean, how hard is it to just follow someone?
While their marketing initiatives might be a bit off to the Letsrun crowd, I can't knock a product that has increased my penis size 2.5 inches in 3 weeks.
Fast? you think it's fast?
Here are some quick numbers
Lynn Jenning has the USA 10km road record with 31:06
and Flanagan went 30:22.3 on the track.
I doubt more than 30 women have been under 30:36 on the track and the sub 30:36 Roadies are fewer in number and only Radcliff and Lornah are on both lists;
30:21 Radcliffe-30:01.09 track
30:27 Ochichi
30:29 Leghzaoui
30:32 Simba- 30:12.53track
Of the 18 times that a road 30:50 or better has been recorded Radcliff has six-Lornah five
This is just painful to watch.
Good lord, that is awful writing, casting, and plot development.
