What a lot of you don't understand is that there's an added element of danger running in el paso with people who speed because there are many drivers from juarez mexico who are impossible to hold liable if they hit you. Speeding is really bad here and I have ended up on the hoods of cars many times because people don't stop in time for red lights and stop signs. While it may not be legally wrong for the man to warn drivers of a cop ahead on the road, it allows the drivers who are speeding to continue with their driving habits which may or may not lead to somebody getting hurt in the future.
I don't mean to defend the police here because they can be real @ssholes, but this cop was actually trying to do his job and so what if its to raise revenue? If you're caught speeding then the punishment is a fine. Drivers are aware of this when they get behind the wheel and if they don't want to pay the consequences then they should obey the posted speed limits.
Take back the word Jogger. Jogging is awesome. I am going to refer to myself as a jogger for now on.

the real crime here is being described as a jogger - the embarrassment
Homes was wearing a hoodie in El Paso in JULY. I don't think he would be going much faster than a jog while wearing that.
Oh and he even put "jogging" on his sign.

By helping these speeders to not get caught, you are enabling them to not realize there are consequences for their illegal actions, and the next time they speed they may run over someone. Do your share to make the world better!!!!
How is telling people to slow down a crime? So if I tell my loved ones to use their seatbelt so as to not get a ticket, am I instigating a future accident? Your logic is lamesauce.
I do this all the time. If I run by a speed trap, I will warn all cars that I deem to be socially acceptable, but I jog idly by and watch Suburbans and their ilk descend into ticket hell.
Is speeding a crime? In Texas, crimes are described in the "Criminal Code", while speeding violations are covered in the "Transportation Code".I think speeding is typically not a crime, unless it's excessive, or coupled with other factors, like alcohol, accidents, injury and death are involved.I could see making a case for "obstruction of justice", or some kind of "public endangerment", but apparently he was arrested for "failing to yield the right of way to a vehicle."We don't know all of the facts from a one-sided news story, but looks like he was screwed, and has grounds for complaint and maybe a legal appeal.

I stopped doing it. The limits are there for public safety reasons. I don't want to be part of making the world more dangerous, especially for pedestrians and joggers and children.Somehow, I think justice is served when people suffer the full consequences of their own choices.

Police are nothing but revenue raisers, they are there to harass the public to squeeze money out of them.
Police Quotas in NYC, make your quota or get fired, "AKA give people tickets whether they did anything wrong or not!"

Care to site the case law?

Speeding is an infraction and you cannot be charged with an accessory however if you piss off the police you can be arrested for several bull laws. So if you think they cannot touch you know all the laws there is always a reason to arrest if your a jerk. Cops dont have a quota they enforce the laws if you get stopped by a tropper or traffic cop you will get a ticket. If you get stopped by a patrol officer you will not get a ticket.
He should be arrested for stupidity, speeding cars are a danger to joggers , pedestrians, cyclists and animals.
The city has to stop pig thug KKK assho les from that sort of chicken shit behavior to prevent the mistaken executions of the good police officer by citizens in retaliation for abusing their human rights.

Yeah, I'd like to see proof of that, because I think that statement is BS.

Telling motorists to slow down is hardly an accessory to a crime. If anything he is helping to encourage them to follow the laws.
