heel drop on nike shoes

Does anyone know thee heel to toe drop on the nike structure 14 shoes? I wear those as well as the lunar racers for some of my runs(started out wearing them so that doing workouts in flats would be a little easier on the calves). For whatever reason, I'm starting to hate the structures and love the lunar racers and am wearing them for most of my runs. I am pretty sure the heel drop on those is significantly smaller. Doing like 60 mpw right now, pretty easy stuff, building to like 80-85. The structures make me feel like I'm running with a pair of goddamn bricks that make the heel sit way too high. Thinking of ditching them all together and getting some different trainers.

What say letrun?

Ditch the Triax unless you need serious stability.

Dude, try the Kinvaras, they're sick. They have a 4mm heel-toe drop.

I, too, have started doing all of my runs in the Lunaracer and have been very pleased. With regards to the heel drop, is the 27-21 good? I understand the Kinvara's are better at 4mm, but what is the best range for heel-toe drop?

What's best for you depends on what your legs can handle. I get Achilles and calf pain every time I try to go too low, so the 12mm offset on the Brooks T7 is my ideal minimal shoe for now. If you can handle less, then go for it. A drop of 7mm or so isn't too drastic, but 4mm or less is practically flat and can really mess with your footstrike if you're not accustomed to it and stress your legs.

Agree with OP, I noticed the same things. Love the Lunar Racers but I also am a fan of the Kwiss Blade Light, only 9 ounces. I'm doing 70 mpw with those and sometimes I switch back and forth with my Lunars.
