Just 2 years ago, could run 3 HM's in a month and my last would was the fastest for 2 consecutive years. I wonder now how this was possible. My legs are a wreck after the half last Sunday. Not racing for a year and the crazy fast first 3 miles might have something to do with it but simply feels old.
So were mine. Recovery is the workout we never talk about and should. I’m still, pedaling, which feels great, and doing 3 sets of plank rotations every other day. I’ll add mytrl exercises this week. Push-ups and PF exercises on the odd days.
I see some people compiling their miles. I’ve never done that lookback until now....

So that’s 2561 miles for 2020. Notice what happens to my volume when I start racing (one per month from July to December).
Had I run fewer races and been minding my core strength,I’d have likely run 2900 miles last year, or 55/week which I feel I can do indefinitely.
I I think my goal this year is to improve my weekly routine. Kid Coach apologized for not monitoring my strength work better. But no harm, I look forward to getting back out there as soon as the snow and ice melt off.
Good week to all!
