Thank you SCgal ! I am trying to view it as a much-needed rest but it's still difficult. I did lift yesterday - only certain moves that didn't require a lot of balance or stability. I did crunches, upper body work, and wall sits. It was my first workout in 2 weeks and it really made me tired!
I've been very diligent about watching my diet and am pleased to say that I've lost 3 lbs in the last month. My ultimate goal is to be a total of 8 lbs lighter by the time I compete at the indoor national meet in March.
I'm in the boot for at least 2 more weeks. My doc is being cautious about the repaired tendon. I'm willing to do whatever is needed to have a strong healed tendon before running on it. That may push my training back to 3rd week of December. I'm hoping I can do low impact (like elliptical and pool running) in 2 weeks and then start training 2 weeks after that. Fingers crossed! Happy Thanksgiving everyone, and good luck to all Turkey Trotters. Healing wishes to all that need them.
