To the Arctic Clown: quote]
I actually thought that was pretty clever, calling me arctic clown. I like it.
I had quite a bit of success in my running career and I had one 100 mile week in my life. I wasn't lazy; far from it. I studied, researched, kept a detailed log, experimented, added cross training, etc. and learned what worked for me. I honestly have seen so many running careers ended because they listened to people like you that thought 100 or miles per week was the ONLY way to go. Yes, for 1000's of runners that is the way to go; for others, not so much.
Work hard everyone, get really dedicated and see how far you can go in your running. It is worth it. However, don't get caught up in what he did or she did. Learn what works for you; and whether that is 140 miles per week or maybe just 80, if that training was what was correct for YOU, you can be satisfied knowing that you gave it your all. Good luck.
