You should be embarrassed. Not only for needing to be profane, but for not respecting Rupp and Salazar. Rupp's achievements thus far sure impress me.
And, if I remember correctly, seems last time he and Salazar talked about going for a 10k time, he ran faster than any other American ever had before that day. I think he delivered, and that Solinskiy rose up and became a world contender was, to me, a great day for American distance running created in part by Rupp's daring. I like the talk. Gets me to tune in! And, unlike you, I actually believe an American or World record is a difficult task to achieve and don't expect it to fall just because someone is trying for it. But I would rather know and watch for it than hear about it much later. I almost made it over to Stanford that day, knowing, and certainly wish I had.
