what are some teams at very prestigious schools that would take a 920/420 guy

Every school would take a 9:20 guy. Your best bets are schools in the UAA or NESCAC, probably.
is nyu a good fit?
Haverford
NYU
Williams
Amherst
step below
Geneseo
St. Lawrence
I'd think so. Bit of an odd college life there, but you can see that when you visit.

If you're a Christian you won't do better than Calvin for education and a good team with a great coach.
None of the schools mentioned in this thread are good
Actually, yes they are. Add in Carnegie, WashU, Rochester (if you don't care about track), Chicago, Tufts, MIT, Emory, Brandeis. Email the coaches at any of these schools, since you're good enough to get help with admission at most of them.
Carleton
True story, but there are some great schools outside of those conferences as well. Here are all the schools I can think of with the best running/academics combo, roughly in order-
Williams
Haverford
WashU
MIT
Amherst
NYU
Carnegie Mellon
U of Chicago
Claremont McKenna/Harvey Mudd
Emory
Brandeis
Middlebury
Tufts
Pomona
Wesleyan
Bates
Thats off the top of my head, so please don't crucify me if I forgot or misranked some teams. Also, now that I think about it, this list is weighted more heavily towards academics than running, but I think that's how it should be so I'll leave it as is.
I am a 9:20 guy who went to UChicago and have improved greatly. Send an email to Coach Hall.

Geneseo has great academics and very good team. The academics aren't quite as good as some of the schools on that list, but the team is excellent. Their DMR just run 9:53 this past weekend.
It totally depends on what you want to major in, the best liberal arts colleges and engineering colleges are very different.
wheaton college and grove city college have good academics
harvey mudd is liberal arts and also the top undergrad-only engineering school in the country (technically it and rose hulman switch back and forth between 1 and 2 pretty often)
Geneseo is a nice school with a good program. But, if I cared about running I would never consider going to a school in the NE that didn't have an indoor track.
Washington & Lee
Lynchburg
VA Wesleyan (though I can't imagine living in Norfolk is fun)
Centre
Sewanee
Rhodes
Trinity
UT Tyler
use the search feature. there are 234000 threads on this worn out topic already. or are you just trying to get another pissing contest started?
