I agree, his 8:11 two mile and 12:56 5,000 show he has pretty good speed and he has shown he has the ability to hold a really fast pace for up to an hour...after that he hasn't shown anything special. The 2:14 debut actually showed a lack of endurance, I have seen guys with 10k pr's a minute slower that Ritz's debut in that time. If he could but a few years of uninterrupted training together he would have a better chance at the longer event. Not sure why he is rushing into this after almost a full year of injuries...I guess Mary Whit made him an offer he couldn't refuse.
