No Roids, Just an Allergy Shot...
I guess Landis got his wish.....if Lance was positive like him I could understand, but I don't, since all this was started by biggest fault of all time in cycling.
You make no sense...Landis doped, Lance doped....what do you not get??? Most of them do....
In Greg Lemonds lawsuit against Trek (which he won), Armstrongs ex-wife pleaded the fifth in a sworn deposition as to whether or not she has seen Lance inject drugs/blood.
You can bet that Armstrong will plead the fifth many times in this inquiry.
Do you really think lance and Landis are going to go to jail? You are stupid. Get off of here troll.
Look, I think doping sux, but giving LA the Bonds treatment? Really? Who would you award the yellow jersey to all those years? And the real question here is why are my tax dollars paying for this crap? So some sports guy is cheater among cheaters, who cares?
Why are your tax dollars paying for this? So some high school kid with Breaking Away fantasies doesn't read up on Lance, decide to buy some PED's from across the border and end up killing himself. So that competitively illegal performance enhancement is met with punishment and more athletes in endurance sports (read running) begin to think twice before seeking an unfair edge. So that if Lance is a cheat, and he is shown to be a fraud, that the lie that has built a marketing empire is shown for what it is.
Sometimes integrity is worth the price... if you're really pissed about the allocation of resources, write a congressman.

Part of the reason for this investigation is because your tax dollars paid for his doping.

Provide proof of this.

The best I can find is this.
http://www.velonation.com/News/ID/4326/Lance-Armstrong-Landis-allegations-could-lead-to-fraud-and-conspiracy-charges.aspx"Of particular interest to the investigators are the years the United States Postal Service (USPS) sponsored Armstrong's team (1996-2004). If money from the sponsorship was used to purchase drugs, it would mean that the funding came from US tax payer dollars, and misappropriation of that money could complicate things should evidence support Landis's claims."
It isn't a sure thing that it paid for it but I think Novitzky will/ has looked into it.
yeah, yeah I would say he possibly could be (unless he tells the truth of course). Sucks to be him.
I don't see that argument working. Some attorney is shooting a rainbows that aren't there.
The USPS has been an independent entity since the 1980s. It is self-sufficient and does not receive taxpayer money. The government sometimes loans the USPS money, but they are loans which must be repaid.
No "taxpayer" money was spent in the sponsorship of the US Postal team.

But they have a monopoly on domestic letter shipments, don't they? Or can any company (e.g. UPS) jump in and offer the same service nationwide if they wanted?

FedEx and UPS will schedule to pick up a letter at your house and deliver it pretty much anywhere. Their rates aren't competitive with the USPS for single letters unless you really want express service, but they will do this.
He will never go to jail for PEDs, only if he lies about them under oath. He can refuse to testify. He can even refuse to testify if they grant him immunity--he may go to jail for comtempt but that would be better than testifying.
The USPS may be independent agency but the stamps you buy to support them are essentially taxes...they are one reason we had the Boston Tea Party
Marion Jones must get more pissed every day.
She did time for perjury while all these mother f***ers - including Bonds, McGwire, Armstrong, hordes of cyclists, etc will never spend a day in the slammer for all the lies they've told and money they've stolen with their cheating.
Jesus, I hope she fired her lame-ass lawyer.
The stamps you buy to "support" the USPS are the cost of sending a letter. They're not a tax, they're a form of PAYMENT.
Stamps in 1765 were another form of taxation, completely unrelated from the stamps you now affix to letters as payment to the USPS for mailing them.
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
