With the Nike Zoom Elites gone I'm having trouble finding a replacement shoe. Many people told me that the new Structure Triax is pretty similar. I'm finding that the new structure triax has a sloppy fit. I sized down a half size and it still feels off. Does anyone have any recommendations on a good replacement shoe? I'm thinking of trying the Brooks Ravenna, but I'm not sure..

If you didn't like the AST fit, you probably would find Brooks a sloppy fit, too.
Asics DS Trainer and NB 905 are also good.
the Nike Lunarelite is the successor of the zoom elites. Tried it on - HATED it. Never wore a stiffer shoe, ever. Forefoot just hurts when rolling/flexing. Piece of crap.
I suggest DS Trainer, even though I think they f*ed up the 15 (The 14 was just right). Still much better than the (posted) Nike stuff.

Loved the elite 2, but not the later versions. I am now in the Vomero+ 4s (just got 'em - I think this is the current model?) and they are really nice. Just a bit heavier, but the cushioning is perfect - they last forever.
For reference I have worn these other shoes since the Elites:
Elite4 - very different from the 2s
Jasari+ - fantastic shoe;wish they were still available
Lunar Trainers - ok but sloppy fit
Lunar Trainers2 - garbage
Vomero+3 - great shoe; 650+ miles

You might check out Nike's Lunarfly. Not as low profile as the Lunarelite, but it feels lighter, softer, more flexible. It's a fun ride.
I still have a pair of Zoom Elites. My other shoes are the Asics DS Trainer, and the Brooks Launch.
nike product changes drove me out of their shoes a long time ago.
looking for a new feel in footwear i tried the Lunar Elite and i like it a lot.
some things work for some people, others won't like them. keep an open mind, gather information and try different stuff.
I thought I was the only one that loved the Elite 2. The 3 and 4's were too squishy. Since then I've been wearing Spans. They feel great on long runs and I have at least 700 miles on each of my 5 pairs. For a lighter shoe I really like the 905. NB added some cusioning and they actually have a feel similar to the Eilte 2.
I loved the Elite 1 and 2 and I miss them dearly. I wish they still made them. I switched to the axioms and they were good but the Ravenna gave me lateral heel pain

i would like to cast another vote for the ravenna. i feel bad because i only picked up a pair of elite 4's at an expo two months ago (after it had already been discontinued) and now i realize what a great shoe it is. i had been wearing the ravennas for a while and i think it's the closest thing to the elites out there now. the ds trainer, along with every other asics shoe i've tried (i work in a running shoe store) fits like garbage.
