ever heard of richard branson?
I'm just happy that liberals have determined that sucking marijuana smoke into your lungs does not do any damage to you like cigarette smoke. Also all the commercials about cigarettes smoke destroying the envirnment etc. Of cousre your car does not do the damage a cigarette does. Thank God we can all finally suck marijuana smoke into our lungs and blow it all around and it will not do what cigarettes do! Good stuff.

Plenty of conservatives smoke weed you dunce. Practically everyone I know who claims to be a libertarian is a weed smoker. Plus, I haven't seen a single commercial about "cigarettes smoke destroying the envirnment", yet I've seen dozens about how cigarettes affect your health. Show me one case where lung cancer was caused by marijuana and you'll have an argument, otherwise you sound like a moron.
add malcolm forbes to the list. (this was when he was alive ofcourse!)

If it weren't for the whole illegal thing, I'd rather my daughter smoke pot occasionally than binge drink occasionally.

My parents have never checked anything but Republican on a voting ballot, but after watching one son nearly die from alcohol poisoning, another crash into a telephone pole, and me puking my guts out after a night of drinking, they told all of us that they'd rather we smoke weed than drink. Once my father retired he inquired about using it for back pain since he was sick of taking pills. I think even die-hard old school Republicans are realizing it's safer than alcohol, has medical benefits, and is contradictory to small government.
Very naive to tie ganga use to political party. Grow up.
some successful people do partake after business hours.
not every herbalist is a tie-dye wearing bongo-drum player.

It's not naive at all. It helps show that now it's becoming acceptable amongst groups that previously thought it was the devil weed, which includes hard core Republicans who were raised in the 50s. Stereotypes are being broken. Today's Republicans are a completely different breed.

YOU make my point exactly hiding behind your computer tough guy. If you have not seen commercials about cigs destoying the environment and everything around us...then you are not living on this rock we call earth. EXACTLY not one case of the smoke going into your lungs from mariguana causes cancer. Not a word. Why is that? You stupid freak of nature. Are you that much of a freak or do you live in Mongolia or something. Let alone the first thing people will do with joints...SPIKE THEM! Everything and anything will be spiked in the joints. But great statement "I have never seen anything about smoke from mariguana causing cancer." That is exactly what an insane liberal would come up with. Smoke and mirrors. Now hide behind your computer and act tough, and say what you would never say if you were in front of the man.
let's face it: marijuana is nothing to worry about.
There have been no deaths from marijuana use in recorded history, millions from alcohol over time (probably 100,000 per year in the U.S. alone), and 430,000 deaths from tobacco use in the U.S. every year.
RASHAAN SALAAM, 1994 HEISMAN TROPHY WINNER- That marijuana makes you lazy. Makes you not want to get up and work out. It makes you not motivated. It doesn't allow you to have positive thoughts.
Again, the ignorance on this Board amazes me.
Marijuana can be cerebral, happy, and sparkly. It can also dull pain and help you sleep. It depends on the variety. Sativa is the lighter, happy varietal; Indica is the couch-lock version. Breeding can mix and match the effects. This is what's behind medical use--different hybrids for different medical symptoms (e.g., depression, chronic pain, insomnia, etc.)
Also, smoking a joint is no longer the only delivery system. Vaporizers are smoke free, and then there are edibles--cookies, infused butter (ghee) for cooking, lollipops.
Learn about marijuana before making wild statements. It's going to be legal very soon in CA (on the Nov. 2010 ballot). And there's a huge, legitimate, taxpaying industry that's already in place.

Truthfully? Truly repectable people may smoke pot on occasion. Nobody that regularly tokes up is really successful. Just my opinion. go ahead potheads...flame away.
i smoke a half an ounce a week. I have a 4.0 at a UC school
To reiterate the point above, no deaths have been attributed to the use of marijuana. I challenge one of you to come up with something that speaks to the contrary.
Really. I'm ready for you. Show me ONE, just ONE case of marijuana use causing death.
And you want to tell me about "spiked" joints? LOL, you sound like you're in middle school, but whatevs.
No but seriously, I'm waiting for one of you ignorant motherf***ers to show me a documented case of death by marijuana smoking. I'll be here, waiting, getting high, not to mention being what I consider successful!
There there, it's ok, I know, you didn't find one. You tried, but no luck. You may have been preparing some diatribe about how there have been plenty of such deaths but they've been kept hidden for political reasons.
Hahaha I'm still waiting though, f***ers.
What measures success? Money? Possessions? Happiness? Cause if it's the latter everyone who smokes pot is successful.

At east coast street prices for primo you have about a 20buck a day habit. Bet you are a buy a quarter sell 3 and break even type of guy.
Move to CA. Grow your own. "20bucks a day"? "habit"? You guys have 20th century views on all this. open up your ears, clean out your eyes....
