Sorry Wejo, but $275 is just plain pore planning.
Not expecting much of a turn-out. Even if they have Bolt. This ain't the cowboys
What the hell is "pore" planning?
if i pay $275 for a ticket, i want to see more than bolt, it would have to be bolt vs tyson gay and the best field possible, not that it matters who he races bolt will win, i just dont want to see a glorified appearance.
also for it to be worth it for me, i want all the events to be loaded to the point of being equal or maybe surpassing zurich as the worlds best 1 day meet.[/quote]
They have already announced that it is going to be Bolt, Gay, and Powell
Not Zurich, no, Home Depot was the world's best 1 day meet with Oly/WC medalists in nearly every lane of the 100/200 sprints and hurdles, and dozens of other Oly/WC medalists in other events. Too bad the meet mgmt was to stupid to figure out that fans will not buy tickets to an un-finished stadium under construction, with no toilets, no running water, no conessions, no seats with shade.
You people do realize that the $275 is obviously limited and not aimed at everyone, right? It's not like they're all that price. In fact, very few are. Most of the tickets are a pretty reasonable price.

USAT&F used that exact model for the USA Champs on Randalls Island in `91 except it was a crumbling stadium undergoing demolition.
At 10:00:01 you could buy a section 101 finishline seat and then they were gone--eradicatus poofi
IAAF only took over all of sections 100&200.
note if you bought on-line before you must log-in otherwise when you go to pay it kicks you out for invalid e-mail (I learned the hard way).
Still plenty of great seats available but going fast.
Act now!
Get to the island via public transportation!

changed my mind again. no real distance events for men. not even a mile. forget it
EVENTS:
Men's 100m, 800m, 400m Hurdles, 3000m Steeplechase, High Jump, Triple Jump, Pole Vault, Javelin
Women's 200m, 1500m, 5000m, 100m Hurdles, Long Jump, Shot Put, Discus Throw
Women's distance > Men's distance.
Back in my day Downing Stadium was just a bunch of deep concrete steps. There weren't even any seats, so you just had to kinda lay there all day waiting for the relays. Then they had Lolapalooza or OzzFest there one year and they tore the field up and that was the end.
Now they have Cirque du Soleil and Elton John concerts there and seats cost $250. I guess it's good to have rich friends who'll buy you a stadium...

the $250 seats are on the INFIELD next to the athlete staging, well worth it
How many paint chip eaters think that there are seats in in the middle of the infield, right in the line of fire of the Men's Javelin and Women's Discus?
Shut up! I'm glad you won't be there. Stupid arse non track fan. Go watch bingo instead -- idiot.
The NY Diamond League will be one of the best meets because the best will be there. What else could any real fan of track and field want? Wanker!
That meet has 98% Jamaican fans, the most loyal fans in the world.
Can we buy a block of seats for a LetsRun meet-up?
