BUMP.
I saw Trinity run many times. I don't know him, but this is a very sad story and I wish him all the best.
I just made a donation.

This guys was one of my fiercest rivals on the track, and still is a great friend off the track, what can i say about him classy and gutsy person. He made every NCAA championship race a tough one for me and everyone in the race, with his patent go to the front and see who comes with me. I ask that everyone who reads this thread, not only pass it on , but encourage our running community to help. Knowing Trinity he would not ask for the help, but we should do it without reservation, if you can't donate, at least say a prayer for our brother,
Derrick Peterson
What hospital is he at in Philadelphia? I'd like to deliver a card and a donation to his hospital room as i'd expect he could use some encourage from his fellow runners. I could probably get others in the Philly running community to donate.
Hello Family,
I would like to thank you, my track family, for your prayers and donations. This year has been deeply humbling for me and I cannot adequately express how much you helped me get through 2009. I learned this year that there are a lot of people who cares about me and will be there for me in my time of need. Without my family, friends, and the track community, I would not have had the strength to overcome some of this year’s challenges. I am eternally grateful for you keeping me in your thought and prayers.
I would like to write a special thank you to my Brown T&F family. There were so many times during this year that someone from the track team would come to Philly and take me out to eat, take me to DC, or help me financially. Another example of my teammates love and generosity is the fund Derek set up for me in November. I had no idea about the fund until this Monday when Derek called and informed me of what he had done.
There are few words that can truly express the gratitude and love I have for the track community and my Brown T&F family. I love you and I pray that you all have friends like mine and I wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
Thank you for the continued prayers and support.
Love,
Trinity
This sounds like a really great story for ESPN, someone should prob them until they take notice.

Very cool how much people are helping.

Trinity,
Humbly all the best wishes. There's history of this in my wife's immediate family. Our contributions, no matter how large, will always be paled by your strength and courage. Will contribute,
