Please explain this more clearly, especially the part where the treadmill “pulls” the foot back. How does that happen?
If I’m running 10mph, my body is going forward at 10mph relative to the spot under me or the spot that my foot hits. As my foot hits, it stays stationary relative to my moving body until I lift it off of the ground at the end as I toe-off. I guess I missed the part where it’s pulled under me.
If it’s somehow being pulled under me at a speed faster than my running speed, I’d love to know how that happens...how the treadmill has entire body moving at a different speed than the foot (is moving relative to the body).
