So I still can't shake the adductor pain that is lingering after my pelvic wall repair for sports hernia. The upper pelvic issues were solved by the surgery, so I can actually run every day now and even do some decent tempos, but every tempo or long run results in pain in the adductors, especially at night and when coughing/sneezing and makes fast runnign impossible. I made the mistake of doing a long track workout on Sunday and the pain Sunday night was almost unbearable and I have managed to run since then only with compression sleeves on both thighs. I am 3 months out from surgery and have been back running since late July. Anyone with stories that could give me encouragement or solutions would be appreciated. I think running turns was a big part fo the culprit. Would an elliptical trainer be doable with adductor pain? Cycling doesn't seem to hurt at all. Did anyone break down and go back for the adductor release? Does a long stretch of time off help? I am pretty stubborn, if I can run, I will, even if I know that in the long run it might be better to rest it and see what happens. Before Sunday, it seemed to be getting a bit more manageable but I am back to square one.
