Not a bad finish for a little NAIA school. Looks to be the team to beat at NAIA and better than most NCAA schools.

GIVE ME A BREAK, better than most NCAA schools!! They finished 9th (not to take anything away from that). A 9th place finsh at a meet the same weekend as NCAA pre nats is not what a 9th place finish would be in the NCAAs. True its a pretty good performance but look at how many ncaa teams werent there!
And their times weren't all that good anyway..........
with little training they have and may be alot of work to pay their school amount,it isnt bad for them unlike ncaa over 80 miles per week!

this post made absolutely no sense. try some punctuation.
Stop hating(don't kid yourself), if you look at the naia standings and the performances from the top teams you'll see that CMC has performed stronger and more consistent than the other top rated schools. They should be ranked #1 in my opinion. With 4 potential sub 24 and 4 potential sub 25 8k runners they are clearly the class of the naia. Furthermore, they defeated Kansas, K-State, Nebraska and many other big name D1 and D2 schools at the chilipepper. Not too bad for a school of only 800+ students, hey? So, the next time you want impart your infinite wisdom (NOT!!!!) on the viewers of this message board, get the facts straight first. How do you like them apples, or should I say eagles?
Yours Truly
The Equalizer
And what time did you run?, ATL's finest.
At what race did they have four guys run under 24 minutes and four guys run under 25 minutes?
"Potential" is the most overused word in sports.
I just looked at the Chilipepper results and there's no way that those Africans from CMC are anywhere near the same talent as Lubbock Christian, much less Minot State. You're totally kidding yourself if you believe they've got four guys that can run under 24:00 on something less than a totally downhill course.
Yes, Kansas, K-State, and Nebraska are big name schools, but not in cross-country!
Big deal, they've got 800 students. They obviously have money for scholarships. Eastern Oregon University doesn't have a single dollar of aid to give their athletes. That's a more impressive number to me.
This is a funny post, haha yeah I heard cmc had 3 or 4 red shirt guys that are really their top 4, but they don?t want to run them (oh wait that?s eastern Oregon). Is it just me or if you were in what seems to be a tight battle for the title in November you would run those guys and win a national title. It?s not like those kinds of opportunities come by very often. Is it impressive to you that cmc had to sleep on a floor of a church the night before the chili pepper? So Eastern Oregon doesnt have scholarships, yeah they have a good team but were is their front runner? well anyway good luck to all the teams in the next couple weeks.
come on, 4 guys sub 24? josphat is the only one with that talent and ive heard from a reliable source that he will be at a major d1 school soon that will give him some awesome training partners, but ill keep the name of the school on the d.l. that william guy has talent, but i heard he is looking at two schools right now and will be at one this track season. word is that another kenyan on their team is looking to go out as well.
of coz yu lack sense-be gentle when replying!!!
25:30 at Kenosha my senior year. We'll see how many of your boys are under that this year. You'll need to be better than 32 minute 10K shape at Chili Pepper to get up there at nationals.
Not trying to dog you guys, but no way they should be number one.
man you are an idiot if you look up ncaa rules it says that they must complete 3 semesters at the current school to leave so that means boit and william will be there till at least the end of track thats if they want to go D1 so get your mind right
you are an idiot, I said they are not one of the best NCAA schools, thats right NCAA, thats different that NAIA!!!! And loke someone else said, nebraska, and k state might be big D1 schools with good football teams, but not cross country teams!!! Maybe you should go find some wisdom!!
And to who ever posted that stupid line about how central methodist doesnt run 80 miles a week!! If they dont do at least that then they are stupid, that means nothing, they arent the best, and if its true they run low miles than maybe they should start running 80+ if they want to be the best. Look the fact is they are a good team no matter what their division and training, but they are not even close to one of the best NCAA schools. Colorado, Stanford, Arkansas, Western State, Adams State, Abeline Christian, Wisconsin, Northern Arizona, Easter Michigan, should I go on?????????????????
i dont think anyone from cmc ever claimed to one of the top teams in the ncaa, that would be absurd. So dont hate on the team they know were they stand.
what i'm curious about is what the heck's going on with CMC's travel budget? did the coach spend it all on calls to kenya? their vans at chile pepper reminded me of places i encountered on the summer '97 phish tour - not really somewhere i'd want to ride the night before a big race. they may have managed to put together a decent team of nice guys desperate to get out of an african country that's rolling quickly downhill, but let's not kid ourselves about it being a legitimate program.
i spend a lot of time trying to locate schools where the kenyans i work with can be well-coached, well-educated, and have a good time - that's definitely not what i saw being offered there. props to them for giving some guys a chance, but don't expect CMC to be more than a stepping stone for any top level runners unless major changes are made and soon.

Hey AEROBIC.........WHAT, read the first post you idiot!! It says something like they are the team to beat in NAIA and one of the best teams in the NCAA\'s !!!! So yeah somebody did claim them to be one of the best no matter what division, and I never said that somebody was from their team. Maybe you should read up on the posts before replying again, and if you do check out my previous response where I said, \"dont get me wrong they are definately a good team\". All I was saying is that the first post is wrong in saying they would be one of the best NCAA programs. So do your homework and maybe that will take away from some of your ignorance.
whats wrong EQUALIZER!!!! Dont have much to say once you realized you were wrong. Maybe you and Aerobic......What should get together and learn how to read these posts!
I Agree with your first post. You are reading way to far into what i said, i wasnt even talking to you i just wanted it to be known i dont think it was some cocky punk from cmc making all of these wild statements. I think you "dont kid yourself" are way too into this, and have some built up frustrations. Whats wrong not running well? not getting any? Anyway take your problems somewere else, and stop calling people idiots. It makes you sound about 5 years old.
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
