That's because Teg ran sub 13.
Did that really need to be explained to anyone?

Man, I would love to see that race! Way to go Leo! Big time PR!
One of the Most exciting runners to watch
Manzano ran a fine time just behind the leader in a relatively slow race for Euro. Put him into a 3:30 race right now, and maybe he'd run a second or two faster. He's on his way.
I get pissed because for some reason Leo always gets this break for shitting the bed at big meets but Webb gets all kinds of crap for being in a PERFECT position in the 07 final but not having the gas to capitalize on that. Everybody says Leo is a much better racer than Webb, but this time he got what? Next to last in the final? Last year he didn't make it out of the semis. What gives? I'm happy for Manzano and I want to see him do well, but why does he get a break and Webb doesn't. BTW, off topic but ever think of 3:33 as halfway to hell? Think about it...

Lots of guys have run 3:33 and faster. No American born runners had broken 13 besides Kennedy until last week. Take your b.s. somewhere else, punk.
Little bitchy aren't we?

You responding to my post is bitchy
People! Play nice!
Leo gets a break because he had the 12th best PR of those in finals and finished 12th.
Webb had the #1 time in the world and finished 7th or 8th.
So when you lose against people that are slower than you people tend to think you are a poor racer.
Way to represent Leo! Most of us back here in the states are proud of your improvements. Thats what makes track great; improving yourself. Keep up the work and you will be do bigger things at a major championship.
great race and took some good scalps! He beat quite a few WC finalists and made up for DFL'ing at WC finals.
This type of racing is great development in building towards a great future. Im not sure who his coach or agent is , lets hope this young talent does not follow the path of as a poorly miss guided Webb.
Manzano's coach is John Cook. Same as Rowbury.
Also the same guy that laid the ground work for Alan Webb in high school mentoring Raczko.

You're comparing PERSONAL bests to SEASONAL bests. There is a big difference. Not all 7 or 8 of those guys were slower than Webb. I'd bet that they are all were about within two seconds of each other as far as ability is concerned.
Wow! 3:33.3 for Leo. The guy's got an amazing last lap, plus, he keeps improving. Hook 'em horns! What an exciting year for USA mens and womens distance running.
Cook knows what to do and hopefully the agent is not Flynn.
OK. This year Manzano has the # 18 Seasonal Best in the world even after this 3:33.
In 2007 Webb had the #1 Seasonal Best going to Worlds and after the season was over.
Not that I agree with bashing Webb but there is no cause to bash Manzano for getting 12th at Worlds.
Leo almost as fast as Ryun now.
