michigan dufus: not all people that are from the south are incoherent rednecks. Geographical circumstances hardly mean anything in...oh yeh whats that thing...yeh...LIFE!!!
Razorbacks drink the finest sewage from WSC and ASC. Just like Nebraska drinks Denver/Boulder's sewage.
I think you uneducated hillbillies are not comprehending (that means understanding) what I am saying. I understand that no one is going to look back and say, "Remeber how deep Michigan was." That is why I am bringing it up now and not in the future you cow milking crack baby. THE QUESTION IS WHO HAS THE STRONGEST RUNNING STATE FOR COLLEGIATE RUNNING RIGHT NOW. NOT WHO HAS THE WINNING TEAM. NOT WHO HAS THE WINNING INDIVIDUAL. THE STRONGEST FIELD ACROSS THE BOARD.
You can translate this post at
I know you're saying right now, but Calvin will have to look out, Hope is going to give them a running next year, I declare an end to Calvin reign, Hope is up and coming their top 7 consists of 5 freshman and all of those will run 25's as sophmores.
ALASKA ALASKA ALASKA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! who can compare with the boys from the north???
yes michigan is probably the toughest state right now in collegeiate competition, but you are an ignorant asshole who needs to quite honoring himself.

Indiana wins hands down with such legends as Fasil Bizuneh, Aaron Fisher, Brian Dunn, Phil Yoder, Andrew Begley, and Matt Hussmann.

Haven't heard of even half your "legends".
Yeah, I agree with driller. Michigan is great and all, but you sure suck.
Ok Michigander, who cares what state is the best "across the board?" You're dumb dude. It doesn't matter who is the deepest. As Harrier Fan pointed out nobody's gonna care who was the deepest-- or across the board as you put it. I'd bet that at NCAAs even if you combine (that means put together) all the runners from Mich. teams they STILL wouldn't have the loest score. (I did that with the results a few years back when Ark. won and no other combined conference or combined region beat them). So put that on your boyfriend's pole and smoke it.
Colorado. MI comes in second though.
O.K. Dickhead, since you are so concerned with missing my point and only thinking about Champions. BOAZ. Enough said. Now go ahead and contradict yourself...
Why do you have to hate on the Florida women??? They are just as smart as any women any where else. And besides, running in 90 degree is fun once you get the hang of it.
News release! For immediate release!
"For the third year in a row, Michigan has been voted "deepest" state for collegiate running. No other team or state has ever 3peated this annual national championship, not even Arkansas. If they continue this tradition, Michigan will have to be included with all-time powerhouses like UCLA basketball, Notre Dame football, and LSU baseball as one of the "deepest" places to run ever."
Indiana Jones, you forgot Rudy Chapa, Carey Pinkowski (Chicago Marathon elite coordinator), Jason Casiano, Kyle Baker who is tearing it up, Nick Middleton (4:06 HS)....Michigan is still probably the toughest, with who is from there and still running collegiately and post-collegiately and who lives there and is training now and with the depth of national calibur teams.
Well, I don't want to get into any sort of pissing match. Everyone knows the storied past of Oregon, but if we're talking about today, then I'll have to make a case for the state of Oregon.
UofO is ranked #5 in NCAA Div. I
Willamette is ranked #1 in NCAA Div. III
Eastern Oregon University is ranked #2 in NAIA
Here's a list of the runners on those teams actually FROM Oregon.
Ryan Flaherty Bend, Ore. (Mountain View)
Erik Heinonen Eugene, Ore. (South Eugene)
Brett Holts, Bend, Oregon (Bend)
Eric Logsdon, Canby, Oregon (Canby)
John Lucas, Eagle Point, Oregon, (Eagle Point)
Noel Paulson Aumsville, Oregon, (Cascade)
Kyle Robinson Salem, Oregon (South),
Collin Stark-Benz, Portland, Ore. (Franklin)
Brian Crowl La Pine, Ore. (La Pine HS)
Ray Field Prairie City, Ore. (Grant Union HS/Oregon State)
Nick Fikes Jr. Ashland, Ore. (Ashland HS)

Alexander McGladrey Jr. Hubbard, Ore. (North Marion HS)
Daniel McGourty So. Wallowa, Ore. (Wallowa HS)
Jesse Petersen Jr. Springfield, Ore. (Springfield HS)
Neil Petersen So. John Day, Ore. (Grant Union HS)
Tim Riley Corvallis, Ore. (Crescent Valley HS)
Ian Schroeder Milwaukie, Ore. (Rex Putnam HS)
Ben Terry Molalla, Ore. (Molalla HS)

Brad Kehr Klamath Falls, Ore. (Henley)
Dan Kenagy Salem, Ore. (Sprague)
John Konrad Portland, Ore. (Tigard)
Nathan Love Gold Hill, Ore. (Rogue River)
Nathan O'Brien Wilsonville, Ore. (Wilsonville)
Jon Osborne Klamath Falls, Ore. (Klamath Union)
Scott Overby Gresham, Ore. (Barlow)
Carlos Ruiz Salem, Ore. (McKay)
Everett Thomas Portland, Ore. (Benson)
Mark Welsh Nehalem, Ore. (Neah-Kah-Nie)
Aaron Young Coos Bay, Ore. (Marshfield)
I think UofO actually has a higher percentage of it's athletes from Oregon than Willamette does.
Let's not forget Univ. of Portland's men. They were how high at nationals last year? They're still a tough program considering how small they are and still have no track.
There's also a lot of former Oregon stars out there running at other schools across the country. Tommy Manning at Georgetown, Ian Dobson and Grant Robison at Stanford. That's all I can think of off the top of my head at the moment.
Post-collegiately, there's also Nike Oregon Project and Dellinger's guys in Eugene.
Also, the headquarters for Nike and Adidas are in Portland.
So, per capita, Oregon has to have a stronger case over Meeeeeshigan. If not, I'll still take it over anywhere in the midwest.
Who the heck is Willamette? I thought they were a lumber and paper mill company!
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
