Doubtful. Even moreso now that there are 10 in the final.
Totaly BS that they advanced the fallers.

Symmonds made it. He is in the big time now.
Symmonds will go out at the back as usual and try to do a Borza. But can he do a Borza as well as Borza? Not even close. He needs to get a new strategy.
There is no longer the stigma that he cannot make a finals in international competition.
He's been employing a new strategy for much of this season. Moving up in the 3rd 200m to be in a position to attack the leaders instead of hanging in the back. Watch all his races this year since Pre. He's in the top 3 by 600m, just like he needs to be.
Of course falling doesn't mean an automatic pass, and nobody said that it did. At best Som had ~3/8 chance of getting through to the finals (top 2 plus 3 fastest from 3 semifinals). The second Som tripped (and he's not stupid), DNF was his best bet. Overall, his chances for advancing went up, not down and now his chances in the final are improved; Kaki, who committed no foul, is out. This is wrong and the issue needs to addressed.

Damn Tulip muncher took Kaki down, DNF'd now gets in the final. What a joke.
I thought Som took Kaki out at first. But not so. Watch the replay. Kaki seems to have the brains of an ice-cube I hate to see. He slowed down, a lot, all of a sudden, hit his own leg, stumbled and took out two guys. Kaki seems to have all the talent in the world but he's a mini-mind.

Kaki did take two guys out. Period. Get over it.
The replay shows Som completely stunned and then sprawling. Yeah, he faked it. You pathetic PC sissies are so brainwashed you can't handle the truth. Little doubt if Symmonds or Som had done what Kaki did you'd be all over them, calling them all manner of names.
DNF is actually not your best bet. Your best bet is to finish, even if you run 2:12. What a dumbass.

What makes it worse for Symmonds is that he has Brom in his lane. I'm not sure how lanes are decided for the 800, but clearly Brom and Lewandowski should be in the same lane, and the two guys who got in on time should also be in the same lane with each other. And I agree with others--if someone DNFs, he should not be able to advance.
Symmonds
Yego
Kamel
Lewandowski will take gold
