I'm not a medical tech student; I will be studying pathology come next summer. The salary will be around that much though... They just can't know about my plans on leaving to attend to a graduate program ; )

You smoke nearly everyday, but you aren't a pothead? Interesting...
If you break a pretty big federal law on a daily basis, how can you be expected to follow company policy?
With that said it is a stupid law, but still a law
It is pretty ridiculous... Well, I guess if you're going to punish a man for enjoying himself, there is no better way than rejecting him from a job

You should pass just fine. I picked a career that doesn't typically drug test, and have been happily smoking for years post college. It shouldn't matter if people want to label you a pothead for having a couple bowls after work. It's a lot safer than the alternatives, and you're already living a healthy/productive lifestyle. Some people just need to lighten up (or light up).
Ohhh, you have low body fat! Should have said that earlier. Yeah you should be fine. Completely out of your system by day 3.
Life is full of choices. Pick weed or career. Hmmmm.
Why do you think I came on this board to ask for assistance? I'm not here to compare with anyone, but I assure you I have achieved more than most everyone here. Sorry, I tried being humble; and once again to those who have chimed in with help, thank you.

It's not as simple as "pick weed or career". There are plenty of people out there in a good career that are smoking daily. It's a matter of finding a job that accommodates both your lifestyle and your career goals. It's not that hard to find something that accomplishes both, so I don't see why anyone should have to compromise one or the other.
I figure it's only temporary and the only reason I want it is because it will give me more experience in the field. I have received other job offers but this one will help me out big time because of the nature of the job. It sucks that I'll have to compromise, but it's only for a short time.
Smoking 6 days a week might hinder your chances of passing, but if its only a couple hits of a bowl a day you may be lucky. The fact that you run should help because that should help your metabolism, but THC is stored in fat cells, and the more often you smoke the less your chances are of passing. Check this link of a study about it and keep me updated on how it goes. Im interested to see how it ends up.

"I smoke about 6 times a week" "Im not a pothead"
wtf ok dude one of those is false
Nice! Thanks for the link, I'm very familiar with these types of reviews and love reading them. I will keep you posted; if I can find this thread in a couple of days.
Whatever dude. I'd love to kick your ass.
Dude you are screwed.

WTF. I sincerely hope that you DON'T GET THE JOB.
Admit it, you've got a drug problem - if you're concerned about the fact that you can't pass a drug test because you smoke weed regularly, YOU HAVE A PROBLEM.
You don't deserve a badass job or its benefits. You should've thought about that BEFORE you became a pothead.
I don't care that the rest of your friends do it waaaay more. That doesn't justify your use, or that you come on here and talk about how worried you are.
Get off of the weed - THEN go look for a job.
Idiot.
or troll...whichever is worse.
A little harsh there, don't you think? Sure this guy smokes too much weed, but would you be as judgmental if he drank a beer at dinner 6 days a week or smoked cigarettes at night? What's the difference besides weed being illegal and arbitrarily so.
I'm just an ordinary person when it comes to being honest, or moral. I am sure others are better people. But, when I see a post such as this one, I see a disrespect for the laws protecting the public interest in drug testing our medical/lab personnel, so they aren't stoned, or worse, at work.
I root for you to get honest and get clean. I don't root for you to be in the lab for my or my family's medical tests, or for cancer or alzheimer's research. Go work someplace where your habits and your persistent dishonesty regarding them can't hurt others. Drunk truck drivers and pilots, cell phone chatting train/subway conductors, and now this, drug cheating medical personnel! You so tolerate your risky behavior for the rest of us, then when it all hits the fan, you are very sorry, about the deaths, or accidents, etc.
Get out of the deny now/ weep and apologize later cycle while you still can. Get clean first and collect the money paid to someone who can do the work without a six day per week habit, when you deserve it, namely when you are clean.
You touted what you have done in a positive way in your subsequent posts, but doing things that are good only goes so far for the future you seek. If you are placed in a position of trust, such as interpreting lab results for a test or a cure and are too high/distracted/disinterested to interpret the data the same way you would if clean, being a good student, or charitable, or good to your friends does not make up for the risk you are addictingly throwing into your lab work.
Excellent post! Thank you!
I wouldn't even want to work with a person who smokes cigarettes.
It seems some of you think a person that lights up in their off time will somehow be unproductive or inebriated at work.
NEWS FLASH!!!! There are so many people doing this on a regular basis and still do an excellent job at what they do.
Its all about self control. Some people have it, some don't. I'm amazed to see how this is more out of hand than alcohol.
How the hell does smoking weed after work hinder you the next day when it is time for work again? You better not be drinking alcohol.
