Here's the situation:
Went to the Doc. yesterday to get the resutls fo a recent blood test (went there originally to see where a bunch of stuff was at so we could make sure nothing was out of wack and see if there was anything that could be worked on to improove performance, etc.) Test was done a couple weeks after getting back into things after a post-track break.
So, the Doc. comes in and greets, etc. asks how I'm feeling, 'fine, fine, yourslef?' type stuff. Well, anyway, Doc laughs and goes "Well, that's surprising, because you have the testosterone of a 90 year old man!" Great joke, I was so happy. We chat and the full gist, as I don't have the sheet in front of me to give exact results, is that my test. level is 200 (whatever units), which is apparently low, my thyroid function is quite low, I'm slightly anemic, and my liver function is apparently is the shit--oh and apparently I have rising estrogen levels. WTF?!
Got scripts for Androgel, 30mg of a thyroid med (for got the name), and some liquid iron. Took 'em in and started on them right away yesterday. (still bombed the sh*t outta my evening tempo after 3.5M).
The question is: how long will all of this take to sort out? I mean, I've been training well (75-105mpw) this summer with some solid workouts (a turnover and a MP/Tempo ever week). To be honest I felt decent about my fittness--but I'm scared now and bombing yesterday didn't help, and I'm exhausted today too. So how long of a recovery time from this stuff am I probably looking at before I'm back to being a normal human??? (btw, this effected me from last fall on, looking at symptoms, so there is quite a jump to be made simply by being normalized). I'm scared.
