ver few awesome kenyan athletes usually last long mainly because as soon as the motivation( poverty) is gone they loose focus.Kenyans do not run for the sake of sports or fun, they do it for money and only that.
The only reason why some kenyans endure is because they are lucky enough to have very good managers e.g Rosa,Renato,Ricky Simms etc who provide guidance and planning for longevity.
Maybe Jelimo finally hit puberty and developed hips
As I am in Ifrane for a training camp, I was in Rabat. I was not surprised about Pamela, because I saw her running in Kakamega one month ago, 4'19" with a lot of fatigue in 1500m, and 26"6 (arriving n. 4...) in 200m the next day. She was a Pamela 4 kg overweight, having no training during all winter.
Don't believe in what newspapers write about the athletes after winning something too much important.
Do you think that Wanjiru could really run WCh after London ?
Do you think Gharib goes to run WCh ?
Do you think that really a Kenyan, after winning 1.5 million dollars in one year, with Olympic Gold, next year can be immediately in training ?
So, don't think, with your suspicious mind, that the problem is doping : a Kenyan is not a Maroccan of Bahrein.
Simply, also the biggest talents, without training, cannot win, and before the race I said that Pamela could be happy to run 2'01" : in fact, she was not able to do it.
Hi my name is Pam. I am runner but seem to have misplaced my EPO. Normally I carry extra vial in my crotch area, but was startled by mangy dog on run last week, vial fell out and broke. If any of you out there (Mr. Bekele, maybe) have extras please contact me at PJShemale2009 at gmail dot com. TY.

Right, what pisses me off is that nobody ever thinks Lance Armstrong dopes because he is white.
When is the world going to get a clue that only white people dope?
WTF are you talking about, everyone knows Lance doped, because everyone in cycling is doped.
Yo are absolutely right Renato. The question is she finished? i suspect that is the end of Jelimo.
Absolutely everyone I know thinks Lance Armstrong doped
The reason why armstrong is revered is not because of the numerous(tainted) achievements in cycling instead it is because he faught and overcame prostate cancer and went on to compete in the highest levels in cycling.
Living in America makes people really petty i.e take the big things in life for granted. That is why in the rest of the world even though they know Armstrong is tainted, they are aware of the bigger picture and therefore believe that he is great regardless
Goes to show why Tergat is regarded as the greatest kenyan athlete of all time.
Last year Pamela was unknown, hungry and POOR! After her successful season she became an international athletic super-star, became wealthy beyond imagine in her country, and she no doubt took time to enjoy her new success at the end of the season. She did have a slight injury early this year and also got married and its more likely that all those MAJOR things conributed to her subpar season opener- lets see how her next several races go before we count out Pamela J.

Along with prostate cancer, he also had to fend off attacks from the flying 12-foot long wasps, scale tall buildings with his bare hands, make love to Janet Reno, and survive falling into frozen Carbonite. That and the prostate cancer, of course.
RE Lance:
1. It was testicular cancer.
2. He's as likely to have been doping as everyone else (very). Nevertheless, it's worth noting that he was the most tested athlete in history. If he was doping, he didn't have the same freedom to do it as many other athletes.
3. On a fairly equal playing field (many of his top rivals have now been busted), he still dominated. This is not surprising considering two things. He lost a lot of weight with cancer, but when in training, his power output was the same as before. This gave him the power/weight ratio of a climbing machine. Also, he trained harder than any cyclist out there. He didn't just race himself fit. As soon as he was recovered from the Tour, he was putting in massive mileage again, while the other guys were partying in Europe.
RE the Webb comparison:
Inconsistency alone is not enough to make people suspicious. It's inconsistency, coupled with a meteoric rise from basically nowhere. If anything, most people thought Webb would be faster than he is now (or even in 2007), based on his prep performance.

She has lowered her dosage of CERA, the Ramzi fiasco made her paranoid. Nice to see her get crushed for once.
Or the estrogen has been upped as the pre-op preparations continue.
Wow, Jordan Hasay who ran 2:03 last month is now faster than Jelimo!
Webb is not a doper. He will be back,it is only last year that his performances were below his hitherto high standards.
As for Armstrong,i agree with your views entirely.
About Jelimo: There was a contribution by someone in one of the threads about her ability to break the 800M women record. The person pointed out that she probably doesn't have the right team of coaches and management to achieve more than she did last year.It seems like he/she was right.
people..get over it..the best can lose!!
Jordan Hasy never run 2'03" at 800 meters is reported wrong

Someone with sense at least!
You don't become a bad athlete overnight, wait for the summer
Here is a quote from Jelimo's interview after the race:-
“I tried to do my best, but stress prevented from me delivering a good race and resisting the competition from the other athletes", said Jelimo who promised to come back next year and run well in Rabat.

Stress??? after winning 1 Million USD???
