Sorry, but meetthetrack is no trackshark. Poor design, minimal results, no pics, not current.
Come back Tom! We need you!!!

Does anyone know what other sites cover college track and field meets?
Stats only:
http://www.athletic.net/TrackAndField/College/I'm wondering how many of you would have been willing to pay a subscription fee to view TrackShark.com? What would it be worth to you? It's pretty clear that ad revenues aren't enough for stand-alone sports news websites to keep operating at a professional level with original content, not just message boards and links to other people's stories.
Sites which are connected to magazines or television networks (think RunnersWorld.com or UniversalSports.com) have the built-in subsidy from subscription and ad dollars which flow from their main platforms, or they are simply operated on a promotional basis to give additional visibility for the underlying magazine or TV network. TrackShark.com didn't have that advantage.
Tilastopaja.com, has long been subscription-based (worth every penny) and All-Athletics.com which is just launched is trying to go that way.

You sell your business less than a year ago to someone...they hire you to run the business; the business doesn’t make enough money to keep paying your salary and keep the site going, the business lays you off and close the site and takes a tax right off.
Don’t cry now…you decided to sell and take their money, now you are out of a job. Maybe in the contract when you sold (not sure if there was) you should have put something in that said if the new company doesn’t want to keep the site going, you can buy it back and run it the way you want to
You don't need it in the contract that they could buy it back. They could obviously buy it back now. When you close a business it is like selling it for 0.
I'm planning to relaunch a not-quite-ready version of EliteRunning.com within the next week. I am planning to include weekly results, Track Shark style, to help fill the void for now. If Tom Borish opts to launch a new site, I will gladly stop doing it, so his new site can go back to filling that niche.
both you and tom are great for the sport. thank you.
the eliterunning.com results links are terrific
thank you
