I went to a base ball game the other week and thought why the hell doesn’t track and field do something like this. The game of baseball it self is every bit as boring as track. To help with that they have audience participation games, mascots running around, beer, random pump up music and more to make it a good time. I can totally see track being more audience friendly if some of those tactics where employed. Also, add the aspect of onsite betting to the mix and get the horserace type fan interested. Also, if the club seen was bigger then maybe people would become fans of their local clubs. I think it can happen. Track could be just as popular as baseball and dare I say it NASCAR!!

Baseball is boring, but big men hit things very far, and for some reason, this is better than Track & Field.
I bet that if the Shot, Jav, Hammer placed a fence at the end of their respective zones, it would become more popular, as people would watch to see if they got a "home run." I sincerely believe this...
