I wouldn't say the Sox choked after the way they came back from the dead. And the fact that they are so beat up. The Sox got further than I thought they would this year. Garza pitched a great game - hats off to him. The Rays were a slightly better team this year, and that's the way the series played out.
Good luck against Philly.
Now here's some advice to Rays fans:
1. Next season it might be nice if you actually turn up decent crowds to regular season games. You might be in the World Series this year, but you have a long way to go before becoming a 'baseball' town.
2. Get rid of that crappy stadium with the catwalks.
3. You actually should be pretty good after over a decade of #1 draft choices. Good luck holding on to all of those guys.
4. The mohawks look retarded. It makes you guys look like a high school football team.[/quote]
Typical Bostonian, gotta always be critical. The Sox have a $183 miliion dollar payroll, they don't need high draft choices they can buy a good team, the Rays have a $43 million dollar payroll. It should not be close.
The $183 million dollar team choked or is overpayed and old, your choice.
How does Bay for Manny look? How many times did Bay strike out in this series? I know he struck out 186 times during the season. Varitek is pathetic, nothing else needs to be said.
And Ortiz is nothing with the new drug testing policy.
Don't worry Boston 86 years goes by pretty quickly, 2093 will be here before you know it.
