I only know their coach, The Pistol, and he's pretty short.

the course is shorter than ever. educated guess - it's around 400m short. guys were running the last mile in under 3:50. there were kids running under 24 and 25 that wont break 26 or 27 the rest of the year. good race but dont base much off the times.

I doubt anyone ran the last mile in under 3:50. However, they might have run the distance from the 4 mile mark to the finish line in under 3:50.

Auburn averaged 1:40 better as a team than at Roy Griak.

The guys on my team all ran between 1-1:40 better than their p.r.'s from a week earlier at FSU Invite.

You must be an idiot if you think that course is not significantly short. I ran there a couple years ago after 3 weeks 0 running and ran 24:40. Its pathetic that a coach can't properly measure as the times at this meet have become a joke. Not knocking on Georgia Tech but 25:03 for a team average? Gimme a break. Half these kids on the team that ran sub 25 and 26 have never broken 26 in their lives not including about 6 other teams that were there. I guess Auburn has to do something to build that self esteem. I can't wait to see them come regionals where a course is actually measured with something other than a golf cart.

They did. The mens race was 4 different 2k loops. Different course....same measuring wheel.

My buddy's coach wheeled it post-race and it 390 meters short. God I am glad I didn't waste my time going to race.

was told specifically by an auburn coach that it was 180m short. I am skeptical though. Maybe a little shorter.

Why would the distance being approx. 300m short make a difference? everyone ran the same distance and it was still a race. Cross country has nothing to do with time, it is about a competitive effort and racing to beat your opponent. You are being quite dramatic here bud.

Idk bout you homefry but when I pay to enter a race and compete. I pay with the intention that the course is correctly measured and of the distance that I am running therefore I can use it as a basis for the rest of my races for the year and where I need to be at.

No, actually it is in Alabama.

I used to be able to understand how some people could think like you do, but then you meet some of these Kenyan kids and you realize they work just as hard as any American kids and they deserve the chance to compete in college too. I find people like you are usually back-of-the-pack type of guys and you are usually just jealous for whatever reason.

Ridiculously short this year... Big-time.. just compare Auburn at Griak (just last week) and then at Auburn this year... come on, now.
