of course a SEAL would probably win, they are the most physically fit guys in the military.
a better question- Army SF or Delta, Navy SEAL, or UFC fighter. Recon Marines arent trained as well as even theArmy SF.
in a fight without weapons, where the fighters were of equal size, a UFC fighter would most likely win. ufc fighters train daily on these skills, where as they are only a portion of what a navy seal (or any special forces fighter) learns, practices, and perfects. in my opinion, this debate is similar to who would win a marathon: Geb or Craig Alexander? Yeah, Alexander is probably the more all around, versital athlete, and a great runner, but as we can all agree, this would not be a race. i am trying to put in in terms people would understand on this board.
you guys believe too much hollywood propaganda. the ufc is fake, yet navy seal are lethal weapons. remember charlie sheen is not a real seal, neither is stephen segal or ashton kutcher.
Everybody is saying that the SEALS know how to instantly kill people, but there's a difference between being able to instantly kill an enemy soldier, and being able to kill a fighting machine that trains all day, every day, for ONLY hand to hand fighting. I'm pretty sure that the MMA fighter would be able to counteract the SEAL's instant kill moves.
Some people are also saying that it would be hard for the MMA fighters to adjust to "Killer" mode - such talk is bull hanky.

That's Entertainment. It's Tinseltown guyz ! We make it all up here. The Combat TV show set from the 1960's used to be off of Higuera in Culver City. Kids would peek in from the street and see the German Half-Track from the B&W TV show. It's make believe. That's what Hollywood sells to idiots like you guys who are stupid enough to believe it. The tickets, TV commericals, DVDs, T-Shirts, Panties, hype and jive, and it makes billions for us here in West L.A. TV/movies and sporting events are made about SEALs, WWE, GB, SF, Mike Tyson, SAS, Isrealis, Jacky Chan, British Grenadiers, Brock Lesnar, The Sands of Iwo Jima, Dirty Dozen, Terminator, Jet Li, Hamas, Enter the Dragon, D-Day, Oscar De La Hoya. It's not real. Take it all with a grain of salt. Realize we go home every night trying to make people look badder, sexier, uglier, fatter, smellier, funnier, sadder, etc. because that's our job. It's all pretend.
This is the type of childish discussion you usually have in grade school.
Do you have a great script about the SF or Army boys ? Need production assistance ? If you can get your script "approved" by the Army, then they will give you access to the base, to troops, tanks, bombs, etc. Click:

The Army WILL TELL YOU what to say, make cuts, and turn YOU and your project into a propaganda piece for their interests.
The other branches offer the same deal. Foreign countries do as well.
The PR/Media departments at the sports previously mentioned will help you out too.
I think I'm going to give Nathan's Hot Dogs in Brooklyn a call on Monday. Now those guys are real badasses !
I wonder if some UFC message board has picked up on this thread yet. It'll just be another reason for everyone to think running is a joke. I'm so embarrassed by this thread.
Here's an analogy: Who would win in a 5K race? A professional 5K runner, or a professional triathlete? The runner every f*cking time. Not a perfect analogy, but it's something the average braindead letsrunner can relate to.
Are you saying that Mike Tyson didn't really fight all those guys, or are you saying that the hype and "bad to the bone" stuff was staged?
def the MMA fighter
Hollywood wins.
a SEAL would crush a marine
OK this is easy. UFC = good at acting tough, good at acting like he's fighting. Seal = good at being tough, good at actually fighting.
there you go.
I have all the respect in the world for our armed forces, but you do realize that our countries best athletes aren't the ones signing up to be in the army.
They aren't signing up to be in UFC either.
